Hello
Hello,
My name is Steve, and I am currently a Deputy Sheriff in Tennessee. Served in the US Army from 1986 to 1997, as a 91B, Combat medic. Shattered my spine in 1994 and recovered/served at TMC8 on Ft Campbell, supporting 1st BDE and 5th SFG. Proud to have served, and proud of my older brother who is a retired 18D/Z. Hope to learn much from you all here, by reading more and posting less.
Thanks for allowing me.
Steve

Intro - newdeal
Greetings,
I am a currently serving Peace Corps Volunteer and I will be finishing my service in the summer of '08. I am doing research into SF as a career.
I haven't "pulled the trigger" in my mind that SF is what I want to do yet. This website is helping me to make an educated decision and I have found the info on here to be extremely useful. I am looking at how my experience as a PCV could be applicable if I choose to pursue becoming a SF soldier.
Thank you gentlemen for everything you do. My hat goes off to you all.

Spent 20 years in 10th SFG(A) as a Jr/ Sr Medic, Asst Ops, Tm Sgt, Company Ops and worked in the Group 3 shop. I was injured and moved out smartly from the Springs, in '03, and the Army then assigned me as a IET training company 1SG for combat medics. Lost connect with the original site when it talked about SWC. Now retired and currently working as a Senior Plans Officer at MEDCOM Hqs.

Hello to all
Allow me to introduce myself.
Heard about this site from a couple of the guys at work. Decided to check it out, and unlike them, actually signed up! I think they were intimidated by "Team Daddy" and the other QP's.
Anyway, I'm an active duty 18Z stationed at Carson. Just gave up my last ODA in November, and now I'm running a detachment in the fledgling OTC or OpsDet as it was originally called.
Looking for a QP who knows me to "sponsor" me. Ping me by PM if you're from 10th and are interested.

Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all the great info you fellows put out here on the boards. I heard about this site from the book Get Selected and I am shipping out for basic 20080416 under the 18X program. Thanks again for the effort you guys put out to keep this board up and running.

Hello,
I am Specialist Foster out of the TXARNG. I am currently a recruiter for the 2/142 Infantry Battalion. Just wanted to say that I am glad there is a new unit raising up in Texas and proud to give the young infantrymen of the military something to shoot for. Thank You.

Hi, I'm Scott Howard, "retired" from my 4 years active duty, 80-84. Started in class 8-80, graduated 3-81. C-2-10th SFG after that. Had some great times, have kept in touch with several buds whp transferred to 1st SFG in 84. Worked a short time in construction after getting out, and have been a firefighter for 20 years now. I drive by Ft Lewis on my way to work, and still get nostalgic after all these years.

Interested in SF, I've seen a company of you guys in formation in front of JFK. That was the first time I've seen an actual green beret. I know what you guys are about, and I see myself taking up the challenge later on down the road.
