Belated Introduction

I'm the father of a 20 year old 18 X soldier. When our son told us a recruiter was coming to visit we asked our next door neighbor, retired SF, to speak with him about the Army in general and specifically his experience. Our neighbor told my son that if was going to enlist he might as well get with best trained and most motivated group in the Army. And that's how the journey began. I enjoy the site and have connected with several other parents. Thanks.

Howdy Everyone,

Just trowling for information on selection et al. I'm a 27 year old civilian who has worked for the military doing signal / data network security for the past 7 years or so. I deployed to Iraq last year in support of centcom and became interested in SF. I am currently in Md and barring some unforseen issue will be enlisting in 20th group shortly. The site looks great.

Ez.

My Introduction to you all!

Good day everyone, I am a father of a 16 almost 17 year old that wants to inlist in the Army and go for SF or Rangers after highschool. My friend gave me this link for my son and forwarned him to be silent and read "all stickies" before attempting to ask anything... Well, four post later, he is banned for 30 days!! I hate to say it, but I am happy it happen to him! It was a good slap in the face. Makes him recognize the importance of following the rules, and maybe seeing that a 16 year old does not know everything!! I do hope after 30 days he can be given another chance. I plan on spending a fair amount of time reading and learning from this site, it seems to be an incredible forum!

Thank you all that serve our country, keeping us free!!
