Sir, then we agree. I work with muslims, refugees from Afghanistan and Iraq and their naturalized terps. Not personal comment, just a small point I think is operatively necessary to hold in the current political climate. So many Islam-bashers. But again, no personal slight intended. (It generated a lot of posts, hey?;-))

There is a BIG Difference in working with the ones that did not want to be in the middle of all the idiots and departed vice living in the homeland (Middle East and Asia) and dealing with the nuts.
You will find most of us are not Islam Bashers but fanatic bashers. The thing I will bash ref Islam is that a large amount of the followers of Islam refuse to speak out against the great mis use of the word of the Koran. They refuse to speak out when the words are twisted to do the Terror tactics against others Christan/Muslim/Hindi/Etc. When a religion says you are one of us or you have no value and you are an Infidel then you deserve the labels that you get. They need to clean up their own act before I will look as them as a functional part of the 21st century. If they want an Muslim utopia that is fine. Build a wall around their lands and do what you want and we will cut off relations and leave them in peace. But No they want to expand and kill anything that is not Islam. That is not a tolerant following.
Like I have told people for all my adult years "You can find beautiful women and people in any country when you get out of the Capital and big cities"
I have several Muslim friends and would fight for them if they were in danger but as a larger group they have a lot to do before I accept them as a true peaceful member of the new world family. Quit trying to live in the stone ages.
Be Warned....... look at what is happening in Europe right now with those immigrants (Muslim) They are not adapting to your society they are demanding that everyone else adapt to them. Not very peaceful or tolerent..... I am a History major and the historical pattern of what has been happening for a long time is not good. Europe is soft and they are paying for their attempted acceptance of the ME immigrants.

According to the translation of the koran that I read, it seems to me they are following it to the letter. Still looking for the Tolerance version.
But I understand that SF_BHT is making a larger point and being more diplomatic about it.

Im starting to fear it will only get worse for us over here, like you said we're way too soft on too many points. Justice and immigration being the main ones in my opinion.

I forget the name of the book by another SAS chap who actually went back to Iraq some year's later to the actual sites where they had their fire fights and what have you and pretty much came up with enough evidence and interviews to put McNab to shame on many of his claims...
I think you and I are talking about the same guy...a kiwi SAS type..
