Smoke screen?

I can't help thinking that this is a diversion to the Syrian/Iranian crisis, cooked up the Iranians/Hiz and Syria.

Iran because of the nuclear potential, and Syria because it is probably more worried about the attention it gets from terrorists coming into Iraq.

Realizing that Syria and Iran formed an alliance, the withdrawal of Syrian forces does not mean that Iranian forces have withdrawn. Inteligence is still maintained though Hizbollah, and influence likewise. Syria still has around a million or so people working and living in Lebanon.

Why I think this way (although it is purely my un studied opinion) is that Arafat used similar diversionary tactics for inner and international politics . So while this is all brewing in Lebanon,...

Good morning all

I agree partially with Danjam.

I agree that action from Hizbollah now would be primarily as a diversion, but i differ in that i think it would be a diversion from the internal instability in Lebanon caused by Hariri's assasination several weeks ago and the resulting internal frictions.

Syria/Lebanon would like to divert world view from the internal instability and news reports here claim that Intel reports of warnings of a very large attack up north (Israel) with Syria pulling the strings, for this exact reason.

This attack would not be rockets or cross border incidents, but rather an attack on an IDF base, patrol or the usual fucker wanting to spread himself around a wide area.
