New Jersey

I was fortunate enough to get into some the NJ land&trust hunting grounds that require special permission, including the two areas that only take 10 and 20 hunters. I'll be traveling down from NH to plug some deer with the bow ,since its unlimited and fill up the freezer. Ill be in zone 5, 7, and 10 and trying to find a spot to sleep my truck while I am down there.( NH sucks, only take one with a bow and one with a firearm.) If anyones bored and wants to ruck up there climbing treestand and drink beer at night let me know.

I just realized its one of my first posts I tend to lurk alot!

Why on earth would you voluntarily travel to New Jersey?

It is a craphole, but they got alot of deer. I even put in for the 2$ permit to shoot deer at Dix hah! From what I recall when I mobed from there in 2004, I had deer walking with me along side the road to the PX. Plus, My wife just bought a new Hoyt and trying to get her addicted to hunting with some easy deer for next year!

even though I'm a Southern transplant to Jersey.....my favorite bumper sticker has become, " Welcome to New Jersey....Now go home!"

Jersey Devil?

Is it open season on the Jersey Devil or does the Jersey Devil have an open season on hunters?

Nice link!

I just got back. Ill be back in around October 18th. I shot 2 Does and one Buck (5 pointer), I am just way to embarassed to post the pictures, such small deer! I cant complain though I put a 130ish pounds of vension in the freezer.

Penn you hunt in NJ? If so well have to meet up, but I don't know any Public land in jersey.

Back to NH hunting though. I just missed a 6 pointer last night at dusk, I hit a branch at 20 yards deflected the arrow down under his belly. Check out these pictures of some bucks I have behind the fire station. The first Buck has a weird something going on with his right antler. If my images were posted wrong I apologize.

11b, yes I'll meet you in NJ. You stated you do not hunt on public lands, if not, where and whose land do you have permission to hunt.

I you have TI lines in NH check out Allire state park. Great place for big bucks in the state;250# + 8pt and up.

Since you only posted shots of deer on the hoof; I must assume your trip to NJ was purely recon.

Pete, I think the Jersey Devil only bothers hunters that shoot deer with arrow and bullets, hes cool with photographs of wildlife aficionados. 11b aficionadoes means friendly.

Negative, I took 2 does and 1 buck in my trip to jersey on the 18th and 19th of Sept. I got a permit to hunt there from NJ land and trust. They issued 10. Its in Milford NJ, south of 78?, called MIlford Bluffs/Thomas M. Breeden Nature perserve.

The pictures I posted are from New Hampshire from behind my firestation. Ill research the Allire with some topos and aerials and check it out. Thanks for the info.
