Roger that. Used to be able to rely on those little critters, now got to rely on other things so those Phrench and Indians don't creep up on the home stead undetected. Speaking about things going undetected have you caught any interlopers with your camera RL or did they rip that off too?

I just caught someone on video!!!!
But the lens angle is too narrow.
Trying to edit it down from 6 hours to a clip. Then I'll post it.

I just use the embedded Windows video editor.
Look forward to seeing your tresspasser and vandal.

Perhaps it was Mark Garagos who saw you buy that T-shirt and wants you to appear as a character witnes in Kobe's defense.

After that shirt, it may have been his lawn jockey.

It is MPEG-2, and the Windows editor doesn't work on it. I have two programs that will do it, but need to figure out how to use them.

Scroll down the page and you will see a Video converter that will take mpeg2 and convert it to windows media. I have used their stuff and it is ok. It should let you download the trial version for free.

I haven't used this personally, but I've heard that this is a good and competent program for video editing:
http://www.virtualdub.org/
It should satisfy your needs.

RL, you can open it with After Effects and then do a save as to a AVI file. Then use the Windows movie maker. windows movie maker is quick and dirty and will let you save it to an even more compressed format like wmf and chop it up into reasonable lengths.

I've been trying all day to export it to .avi using after effects, but it takes FOREVER and the program keeps shutting down on me. I'm continuing to try, but this is going to take a while.

That's just the app rendering the image. You need a lot of ram and a pretty hefty processor if you're rendering a 25 meg mpeg2 to avi. Try starting the conversion before you go to bed and let it run all night.
I've been down that road before.

No, this is a 10.5 GIGABYTE mpeg2! It's not running long enough to get it done. It shuts down after about an hour. I'll keep trying, but we may need to find another way.
