I'm looking forward to the debates. It will be the first time since Bill took office that she will be out of her protective bubble. She has never been questioned or interviewed without having complete control over questions and topics.

All politicians pre screen questions and topics to a point. Saw this in the last Bill Oriley book or maybe the one before that. Fox has never interviewed Hillary because she wants to screen every question. Fox will only give guest an general overview or agree to stay away from specific topics.
I'm sure FNC isn't the only news outlet that has this standard. It's the reason Oriley wouldn't interview Kerry in 2004, after he finally agreed to come on the show. He would only do a scripted interview. Democrats agree to come on stations like FNC all the time. It's the rules they never agree to.

Didn't the Democrats just cancel the first debate because it was hosted by FNC? The are scared to debate people in their own party.

The problem is that they don't "debate" anymore. The questions are all pre-screened, and it's more like a scripted, joint press conference than a debate. In a sense, she won't be out of her little bubble.

It is incredible to think that used to be the national policy.

Today that would read; “We shall pay any price (stipulating we withdraw in 18 months), bear no burden, meet any donor, support only our agenda, oppose any common sense, in order to assure the survival and success of our elected positions.”

Or any of these, unfortunately real quotes;

Democratic Senator Harry Reid, Senate Majority Leader:
“I support finding a way to bring our troops home and would look at any plan that gave a roadmap to this goal.”

Democratic Representative Ike Skelton, Armed Services Committee chairman:
“I think there should be an overarching goal for our redeployment from that country.”

Democratic Senator Carl Levin, Armed Services Committee chairman:
“The only way to tell them is that we’re going to redeploy our forces in 4 to 6 months.”

Democratic Representative Steny H. Hoyer, House Majority Leader:
“We need a focus on redeployment of our troops, getting them out of harm’s way.”

Democratic Representative John P. Murtha, Defense Appropriations Subcommittee chairman:
“He (the President) has to say at some time: We’re going to re-deploy the troops.”

Having admitted that and checked all the exits for a ready escape route...

Its getting very hard to be a hawk/blue dog/conservative/Southern Democrat (think Bob Graham and Sam Nunn) these days. Pelosi is giving birth to a liberal version of Rove-style politics and its just as heinous as the pseudo-intellectual tripe that comes out of the far right wing of the Republican party.

I think the answer to the title question may very well end up being "yes."

That said, I don't see any way Hillary gets the nomination. The woman has negative charisma and she's going to shrivel in the spotlight.
