After it hits 100 degrees I'll be watching the bass fishing channel and sipping fruity drinks in an air conditioned environment.....

To bad Warren Zevon wasn't alive. He could have sung his tune lawyers, guns and money at the festivities.

TS,

Do you ever plan to come to Oregon to visit Mr. Harsey? I'm sure there are more than a few folks up here that would love to go out and shoot with you.

If I go to Oregon to visit Mr Harsey you will most likely not find me on a range..... but in a boat.....with a fishing pole in one hand and a fruity drink in the other......

We may not have much time for soda pop where we fish, if your not pulling in a fish you'll be hanging on trying to stay in the boat.

It ain't fishing unless we take the drift boat thru a little patch of class four rapids. If your fast, there is some VERY good fishing just at the tail of these.
Most other folks are still thinking about something else right there and forget to cast.

I never really got into fishing. I have a hard time sitting or standing in one place for long. Spearfishing and hunting shark with bangsticks was fun though. However, from your description of fishing in OR Bill, I do believe you just gave me a whole new viewpoint.

Not to mention the "fruity folks" hugging the trees, protecting the spotted owl, and growing their own medicinal remedies along the shore

Col. Moroney,
Don't worry! We'll take care of the Team Sergeant in proper Oregon style!
First thing we'll do is get him some tie-dye rain gear, Birkenstock boat shoes and his own flask of patchouli oil to keep the skeeters away. We'll only fish flies tied from environmentally conscious vegan sources.
I don't know which crystal to get for "fish karma" but that's a deeply personal choice the Team Sergeant will have to make based on harmonic vibrations only he can feel while he's holding it.

He'll fit right in, no problem.

I feel dirty for just reading that (and not in a good kind of way)...

I'm off to kill something and drink mass quanities of some dark beer.

Spoken like a man who has lived in/around the People's Republik of Eugene for entirely too long.

I think I'll have to bring him to Vermont first for the undergraduate program. You are definitely describing graduate level exposure here and hard as he is I am not sure he is ready for that-especially dealing with the harmonics for the crystal.
