My name is Jim Sissons, retired CW3 out of 10th Group, served there from 1986 to 2003.
In case anyone is wandering about the handle, it was a running joke every year when OERs were due, I was a solid 2 block all day, had it nailed down to a science. That and it rhymes with that rapper guy.
A good friend of mine stationed in Hawaii called to tell me our good friend George Scott (ODA-014) passed away and I could find out more about it here.
Thanks to every one of you barrel chested freedom fighters who keep this site up and running.

Hey guys, my name is Micah, just wanted to introduce myself; and say thanks for all the great information you all have supplied here on the forum. I was referred here by a buddy of mine who told me this was the place to get some useful information and insight on SF. I probably won't post much, but plan on reading plenty before seriously considering my future in the Army and the possibility of selecting 18X as my enlistment option. Or finishing up my last 2 years in college and going with 18A

Just Arrived

Patriots and Fellow Warriors........I'm making my initial introduction here. I am retired as of last year after 21 years in SOF. I spent my first 7 years in 1/75 Rgr Bn and then finished up the last 14 in SF split between 10th SF and SF Cmd. Currently I am working as a security contractor and have been enjoying the retired life. I was also fortunate enough to be picked up as an instructor down at Gunsite in AZ. I look forward to interacting with like minded people and staying in touch with what's going on in our community.

68W checking in

My name's Jacob, and I'm from Anchorage, AK. I'm a 68W in the 1984th USAH on Ft. Richardson (reserves). Currently, I'm a fulltime college student majoring in Math and Physics. I will be a QP one day (trust me, I am the most stubborn and persistent jackass you'll ever meet), I'm just working on sorting out my priorities right now...you know, finding that 25m target. Many thanks for letting me become a member on this site and forum.

Good day all. I've struggled with this post, and figured I'd just put it out there. Now seperated from our military, I have performed on several missions with a variety of special operations units. I'm a Psyoper. I've been forced on SEALs, SFODA's, Conventional combatant commands, even TF-20/121, Task Force "unmentionable", etc. I'm struggling with why we would share these things with others. How do we foster new generations of elite soldiers, without feeling like we're tooting our own horns? It seems the more we try to qualify ourselves, we reduce the image that makes us who we are. Those that want what we've got, want it for the wrong reasons. So, I'll let my introduction go at that. Is there a better way of telling a little about myself?

I can see why; I'm struggling trying to understand the point your are trying to make. But then, I'm just a simple soldier. Other than that, welcome aboard.

Is there a reason to?

We know who and what (Psychological Operations )Psyops are and what they do.

This gent has a good webpage on what PSYOPs does: http://www.psywarrior.com/psyhist.html

Personally, just by your screen name I would have made the leap as to what you used to do

Thumbs up Hey all from Chiefcrain

This is my first post, my ANGUS, I am an old retired SF type, retired as a CW4. Now live in Hoke County, NC. I go by Jim to those who know me, for any other old timers here I was once known as Crazy Crain back in the other life. Did 29 years in the Army 15 on teams, the rest spread out in staff and instructor tours with one 3 year stint in a black hole in VA. Served in 5th, 46th, 10th, 7th, 3rd and SWC. I look forward to being part of this site.

Hello.
I am 30 years old and interested in 37F and 18X. My family obligations are coming to a close in the next few months and thought I should get back on focus for enlisting in the Army. I tore my ACL in approximately 1995 and had knee surgery 2-3 years ago. It's doing fine now and I feel that I'm in the best shape of my life, though more physical conditioning and improvement is still needed.

Hello gentlemen

I am a corpsman student at BRC and i am currently healing from rhabdomyolysis, i was dropped from my course and my team, and i am dying to get back. I barely had a taste of what SF and SOC types are able to at any given time and place, and i know this is what i want to do with my life. Thank you for your time.

My name is Alex. I am a 24 year old who went through MEPS today and am enlisted and sworn in as an 18x recruit. I cannot wait to start the road ahead and with my current training regimen, am getting one step closer everyday. I am truly inspired everyday by each of you Quiet Professionals and will one day in the future be serving side by side with you. I do not underestimate the road, but I do know that I will NEVER quit.
