Swimming
Well, it looks like the dude made too many TV commercials and strutted his belly around and forgot to get his mind right and lost.
Meanwhile the girl got down to business and won Gold. Some go up - others down.

Opening ceremony was boring IMHO. I changed the channel along with 5 other people. I kept coming back and forth tho.

I thought I was the only one. I switched off after the "Queen" parachuted in, with her slider half way up the lines. It was boring although I obviously have many easy-to-amuse friends who told me I didnt know what I was talking about.

Accusations of doping.
It did not take long for the charges to start to fly regarding doping. It's too bad that everything has to be suspect when it comes to world class athletic competition.
Chinese swimmer Ye Shiwen smashed world record by a second and her own personal best by five seconds
Coach John Leonard said history suggested doping could be involved
Called feat 'impossible' and said tests would prove if she had taken drugs
Swam last 50m faster than U.S. champion Ryan Lochte in the men's finals

US Army Sergeant Vincent Hancock takes Gold in Men's Skeet
http://www.london2012.com/news/artic...vS_Pk.facebook
Quote:
The 23-year-old from Columbus, Georgia, added the gold medal to the one he won four years ago at Beijing, becoming the first Skeet shooter to win back-to-back titles.
Hancock also broke his own Olympic record, missing just two shots and firing a perfect 25 in the final to register 148.

It should be suspect in my opinion. The Chinese have a history of doping when it comes to swimming. The fact that a 16 year old girl could put out a split faster than a mid-20's male during his peak performance should be looked into, IMO.
If it comes out she was able to do it on her own, good on her. If she was from any other country than China, I don't think you would be hearing the charges you are hearing. The Chinese have done this to themselves with their actions of the past.

Speak for yourself. I'm enjoying the hell out of the games...it's all in your choice of score card.
And so it goes...

I agree, and the illuminated baby was just...creepy.
The coverage by NBC sucks. I'd really like to see more events besides swimming, diving and gymnastics.

Let's face it; London just wasn't ready for the Olympics.
