What's the difference in being a USPA DZ vs not being one? And how do you check to see if a DZ is a USPA DZ and that their A/C is up to date?

Thanks!!! nice to know that the two DZ's that I go to are USPA approved. I've heard of Lodi (as in a place to sky dive), but that's one DZ that I won't be going to.

I'm not bashful about asking to see the A/C Logbook!! I almost ate it in a 195 when the "Shaky Jake" seized up on takeoff!! Found my "Belly Wart" handle in the wreckage. We were @ about 100', just off the end of the runway with a rice field in front of us when it got REALLY quiet. Sitting in the door, I left, actually exited right and threw my reserve ripcord handle into the aircraft!!
