UFC

Who's got Rashad? 'Cause I'm taking Bones in the first round.

Just got offered tickets to the fight in ATL today. Unfortunately, I have family coming to visit that week.....needless to say, it made my day worse.

Rashad looked really good in his last fight against Phil Davis. I don't think Bones finishes him in the first round. Rashad needs to take Bones into the deep waters of the 4th and 5th round.

Now, Sonnen vs. Silva in Brazil? That's the one I really want to see.

Jones is the best fighter I've ever seen at that weight, and the only one I've ever thought could retire undefeated-even as young as he is. You have to admit, Rashad gets lucky a lot; luck is something Jones doesn't seem to need.

Chael's got into Spider's head, but the whole country of Brazil will be behind Silva. I think he'll pull off one of his unorthodox techniques and keep the belt.

Don't get me wrong, though-it would be too cool if Sonnen were able to tap him out...

After Jones totaly clears out that weight class and Silva his, I think that would be the fight to see at a catch weight or even 205 since Silva has fought there before. I've heard of a possible Silva vs. St. Pierre but St. Pierre fights at about 185 (fight day weight) and Silva over 200. It would be more realistic for Silva to go up then St. Pierre.

I'd like to see Silva fight Aldo, regardless of weight.

Dusty,

Do you think anyone (outside of Sonnen, who I still think can beat him) can realistically expect to beat Silva?

I think Sonnen showed that if you hit Silva hard, fast and continuously, and get him on the ground, he can get rattled. Of course, not rattled enough to forget how to do a triangle choke with less than a minute to go in the fight.

And yep, I'm a Chael Sonnen fan. I admit it.

After watching Chris Weidman's highlights on YT, I concur. Good striker, better wrestler, and has good submissions. Again, I believe the key to beating Silva is getting him on the ground. Weidman looks like he is well suited to do that.

Only if a no holds barred match. Nut kicking allowed.

Aldo would take Spider's legs out, like he did to Faber.

Rashad went the distance, at least.

What surprised me was McDonald knocking out Torres. Hope Torres isn't on the "way out".

I was shocked that it went that far with Bones. I really thought it would it start out aggressive and heated, but that after things settled Bones would blast him in the 3rd and that'd be that. Wrong. Evans gave it hell. Gotta admire that.
