The bio does reflect what's happening to her. A high mountain rain darn near put her under with hypothermia. Coming down from the high mountain she got beat all to heck and some big blisters on the back of her heels.

Last nights episode appeared to show her sitting in camp most of the three days - kinda' zoned out. She needs to shake it off and get with the program.

Last season 2/3's quit before the end.

This is the asshat - zero people skills.

He admits it, says he needs to work on it and then turns around and starts a fight. Last night one of the other guys finished sharpening a machete and he walks over and says "give it to me, I need it" - the the other guy says "use one of the other two I just sharpened this one and am going to use it" Yaba Yaba Yaba back on forth back and forth. He just had to have that one - on and on.

A Ranger who is laying low,

Age: 28

CURRENT TOWN:
Tarpon Springs, FL
OCCUPATION: Army Ranger
Nick can do it all. He is an avid Crossfit and Strongman competitor. He is also a Cessna pilot. He spends his free time spear fishing and hunting turkey, boar, alligators and deer.
Nick joined the military after 9/11 instead of going to law school, though last summer he left active duty as a ranger to work in Special Forces training and take law school prep courses. Nick admits he has a problem letting others take the lead.
I wonder how that's working out for him?

Mike continues to be a jerk

Well, Mike continues to be a jerk. His jerkyness among other things cost the group a long day through the jungle and a night standing in the rain.

As with last season, the group moves a bit, camps for a few days and then is given a new destination. As with last season, because they are tired they get a late start on the hike.

Last night's move was "only" 4 miles through jungle and then 1/2 mile through open savanah. Ranger was point and Mike was # 2 to keep him on track but Mike was enjoying looking at the flora causing Ranger to zig zag - and once they complained they did a large circle. His failings were pointed out to him but Mike would not allow himself to be replaced so the slow twisty slog continued.

When they got to the edge of the jungle city girl pushed the transponder and bailed. More time spent in group hugs. Got to the camp site just before dark, too late to build fire or shelter, started to rain so they stood in a huddle all night.

The two studmuffins darn near talked each other into quiting but were saved by Sam, his side kick, Mike and Ranger finding some fruit - gave everyone a sugar rush. While everyone is hurting the two studmuffins appear to be weaker in the mind - and they are dragging down one of the girls.

Next week's preview shows another blowup with Mike and then it says two quit. I'm betting on both studmuffins or one of them and the weaker girl.

It is interesting how lack of basic fieldcraft makes groups like this suffer - and that even though one person - mike - is doing a poor job in his position he is not fired - and makes the group suffer longer on the hike. I thought Ranger would have done a better job organizing the march.

A strong mind will carry a weak body farther than a weak mind will carry a strong body.

That's why I swore of reality shows. To many jerks displaying their jerkiness.

This is not like the rest. No bathing queens sunning on the beach, no jocks posing for the camera. Just a lot of "suck" and most of the suck self imposed.

Each series prior to filming the teams were given pretty good survival classes for the local area. They know what to look for food, how to build shelters and make fire.

But their lack of experience in the "execution" is what bogs them down and hurts them.

Last season 1/2 had to quit before the team started to click. I think it will be the same this season - at least 2 more need to quit before they start to click.

Reminds me of the long survival FTXs 5th Group used to run out at Bliss. But at least we had fun (in the "it really sucks" way).
