Michael Yon arrested at Seattle airport
Hot Air - posted at 1:22 pm on January 5, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
“Got arrested at the Seattle airport for refusing to say how much money I make. (The uniformed ones say I was not “arrested”, but they definitely handcuffed me.) Their videos and audios should show that I was polite, but simply refused questions that had nothing to do with national security. Port authority police eventually came — they were professionals — and rescued me from the border bullies.
When they handcuffed me, I said that no country has ever treated me so badly. Not China. Not Vietnam. Not Afghanistan. Definitely not Singapore or India or Nepal or Germany, not Brunei, not Indonesia, or Malaysia, or Kuwait or Qatar or United Arab Emirates. No county has treated me with the disrespect can that can be expected from our border bullies.”http://hotair.com/archives/2010/01/05/breaking-michael-yon-arrested-at-seattle-airport/

I hope this incident causes an internal investigation which causes them to overhaul the entire TSA procedures. Doubtful though.
Just for the harassment they should give Michael a lump sum. He would probably give it to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation or WWP.
Napolitano's failings, now this. This will be interesting to see what happens next.

This made me smile.....
I physically escorted this ass-clown off of my compound in Iraq in 2005. I'd have cuffed him if I had cuffs on me.....

Nice to know things are working as they should
Nice to know things are working as they should now.
Joan Rivers bumped off flight in Costa Rica when Continental gate agent finds passport suspicious

".....Rivers, 76, was deemed a danger to national security and booted from a Newark-bound flight in Costa Rica on Sunday by a jittery Continental Airlines gate agent who found the two names on her passport fishy.
Her passport reads: Joan Rosenberg AKA Joan Rivers. Rosenberg was her late husband's last name........"

So sad it's hilarious. Absolutely no "common" sense. What's the IQ requirement for TSA now? I think it's a range between 50 and 75.

I believe that the way it was handled was BS, it was truly blown way out of proportion. No one has ever asked me how much I made, but I have been asked where I lived and how much, if any, cash I was carrying. Seems to me there is more to this story, but we shall see.

Interesting. Still, if the question was as he stated, it was inappropriate.

I'm a big fan of Michael Yon's dispatches. There's got to be another side to the story. Maybe he was carrying an extraordinary amount of cash or something set off the ICE guy.
Anywhoo, ICE won't know what hit them. DHS is a joke.

There's no such thing as bad publicity
Mr. Yon seems to be in "squeaky wheel" mode of late. Last fall, he had a public snit with the UK's MoD << LINK>> << LINK2>>.
