Coup in Niger
A military coup has removed the President of Niger.
It remains to be seen how this will affect the fight against Islamists in the Sahel region, or how it will affect US and French forces in Niger, but it does not look positive to me. The Wagner Group seems rather happy, which also does not seem like a net positive.
