Less armor, but more protection?

Less armor, but more protection? The new, high-tech push to improve military vehicles

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/c...tary-vehicles/

For all of us that have Rolled in a GMV know how much more mobile and agile they are over any MRAP. MRAPS are great; better protection, CROWS/RWS, IR Cameras and all that. But their weight make them stay on hard ball roadways more and can't move cross country like a GMV.

For me this looks like a new money train just as CYBER is replacing the War Machine in the military industry.
