Ah, but as Mr. Sowell so aptly put, our government includes a system of checks and balances to ensure one branch does not wield absolute power. Congress submitted a tax law we call the ACA, the president signed the tax law, the SCOTUS upheld (and clearly identified) the tax law, and now the body responsible for submitting spending proposals is deciding to DELAY the funding for this tax law for the same period as unions and large businesses have been given for implementing it--1 year.
It seems "our side" is exercising its Constitutionally-defined power to influence spending to leverage the checks & balances system, regardless of what the "winners" want.
