This whole deal is so many shades of stupid, I don't know where to begin.
Could have been avoided with the application of a little common sense: If you engage in bad behavior, bad things are going to happen to you. So if you don't want any extra holes in you, perhaps you shouldn't walk around assaulting people. Then again, common sense isn't so common these days.
