Whenever I think about the cycle of history of Zimbabwe (and many African countries), I am always reminded of something Anglican Bishop Desmond Tutu used to say.

"'When the missionaries came to Africa they had the Bible and we had the land. They said "Let us pray." We closed our eyes. When we opened them, we had the Bible and they had the land.'"

It's complicated.

And so it goes...
