Events have a way of doing that. I was Tower Branch Chief. It was a Tuesday and Charlie Company was in Tower Week. It was so windy (> 40mph) and cold (wind chill near zero) that we cancelled training after two hours and sent the troops back to the billets. It was the only day we cancelled training in Ground or Tower during my 3.5 years in the 507th. We were talking about how we were gonna finish the training week and watching the Challenger's launch in the instructor's lounge.

Tragedy and success remain a part of the human experience. Congrats on your enlistment and career.
