My wife is a sports psychologist who works mostly with women's athletic teams. She was at a seminar today where one of the groups who presented information discussed their work with the Army on various mental skills related to being a soldier.
Some of the performance enhancement training pertains to:
Stress management;
Goal setting;
Performance routine;
Imagery;
Focusing/concentration techniques;
personal responsibility and commitment;
trust in self and teammate to perform task/goal;
self control during performance
For the members on the board, can you see Special Forces soldiers benefiting from working on the mental skills mentioned above ?
I have my opinion , but I wanted her to see some objective opinions.
