After looking at the pics of him in BDUs, I don't see how he ever got through any hatches on any IFV/CFV except the rear ramp...and that would've been a tight squeeze. 
He must've had to change his MOS from an 05C to an 11D because he couldn't climb the stairs or fit through the door of the RTT rig on the back of an M35 when deployed to the field. 
The guy would've had to have been rigged as a Rubber Duck with a G-12D to be able to make a parachute jump.
