YES, that is Kontum !!! I didn't realize that my Teamroom was built that early !! The pic of RT New York that is in John's Pic History was taken in front of the building to the right (South) of the road with the two trees in front of it. It was the ARVN HQ.

Thanks for sharing QRQ 30.

I've read both of MAJ Plaster's books and was left wondering what some of the areas actually looked like. He does an excellent job describing the compounds without bogging down the story.

The drinking rice wine pics through reeds had me laughing a bit.

Looks like you gents really knew how to unwind after a mission.

I wish more photos and memories would be preserved for posterity. Even if the accuracy is not always perfect, there are views and stories to be remembered. More than that, they are lessons that must never be forgotten. And, a joy, I suppose, at times inbetween.
