Oh wait... there's more...(got this from an SF retired friend that supports Robin Sage)
This story first appeared... right down the road from us doing Robin Sage... and we thought it was part of the Robin Sage scenario. It had to be some sort of side mission we didn't know about, which
does happen due to the ever-changing scenarios based upon what happens in Pineland.
But, it turns out that this was NOT Robin Sage, and it is real.
So... WTF?
A
couple of Russians... specifically Chechens... were staking out a Special Forces Colonel's home, and taking photos of his kids with a telephoto lens around 8:00 on a Friday night. The Colonel confronts the man, who spoke very little English, but said
they were from the power company and laying in fiber optic wire. However, they had not uniform, and no fiber optic wire.
The SF Colonel notices the cell phone of the man, and everything was in Russian. The Chechen sees this and attacks the Colonel, trying to strangle him.
Special Forces Colonel is carrying, and shoots the Russian. The other Russian drives off in a rental car that had been rented somewhere in the Midwest.
SF Colonel calls the Moore County Sheriff and they go after the lone Chechen, finding him and arresting him. They recovered cell phones in the car, which were all in Russian.
But wait... there's even more...
The lone Russian who was prisoner refuses to talk. A day later 20 Russians, who were in a hotel in Carthage (a small town in Moore County) all quickly leave. They left behind a connex full of equipment,
that the Sheriff is now trying to get a warrant to open up.
The SF Colonel is now going off grid, with his family. The SF Colonel is within a short time of retiring.
