A gaffe is an unintentional act or statement; a social or diplomatic blunder; a faux pas if you will...
-A gaffe is saying "Hi Stacy" when you meet your friend's new wife - but his new wife's name is Judy and his EX-wifes name is Stacy.
-A gaffe is forgetting to shake someones hand during a formal exchange.
-What a gaffe is NOT is Staff Sergeant John "Four Leaf" Tayback getting outed for pretending he lost both hands in combat.
-What a gaffe is NOT is when inexperienced public relations team simply cannot control a has-been, overbearing, closeted racist, drug-addicted, self important family of trash people every time one of them gets near a fucking camera.
-What a gaffe is NOT is Simple Jack just being himself; a mentally challenged farm boy who can talk to animals going on another of his foolish rants.
Everyone knows the rule - NOW, say it with me:
