It's a fair question I know it has not been Biden since day one. It has always struck me that the important thing was that Jill Biden became the first lady.

My $.02, there is a cabal behind him that amounts to Obama 3.0. This would include the seldom seen folks like Susan Rice, Samantha Power (with Valerie Jarrett & Obama on speed-dial), as well as a whole raft of former Clinton State Department folks such as Victoria Nuland, Tony Blinken, and Jake Sullivan. Someone he trusts as WH Chief of Staff, who may have input to the schedule because he knows how performance of the machine degrades throughout the day. Then there is, at this point, probably a dedicated set of staffers to do the day-to-day mechanical things like pointing him in the right direction, supervising the production of cue-cards, etc. Access is managed by Klain and FLOTUS, because it's important he sees a familiar face throughout.

I don't think Jill has that much in put. It's probably a full time job just keeping Joe dressed, fed, in a clean diaper, and not wandering into heavy traffic.

She was against the Iraq war. One wonders how she feels about Ukraine. She never struck me as all that political before she married Joe.

Edit: I wouldn't call it a Cabal Badger, that makes it sound like it's just Dems. It's just the usual list of suspects that's the "Deep State" and "Uniparty". The "Republican" neocons like Bolton get in when Republicans are elected, then Dems like Blinken are in while Nuland is there down under all the time.

Would never dispute that this happens on both sides (your example of Bolton is perfect). But this collection seems literally Obama's interview where he mused about a 3rd term brought to fruition. People like Nuland, and another gal at Justice whose name I can't recall, are testament to how deeply one has to clean when changing regimes.

I believe that it is a cabal, but of academics. It was no coincidence that Obama's political career began in Bill Ayres and Bernardine Dohrn's living room. It's also not a coincidence that every imprisoned Leftist terrorist who is released from prison is immediately hired as a professor by some elite university. That's your cabal. They had plenty of time in prison to hone their curriculum and are now able to commune with one another and have an 'in' deep into the government.
