I think so..

Short POSER Rant:
Nathan Phillips, born 1955, age:64,
USMC Raider(Ranger in some interviews),
Two(2) tour Viet Nam Veteran

My quandary: The last Marine units were withdrawn from SEA in April-June 1971 when Mr Phillips was SIXTEEN years old...

If he completed all the training to become a Marine Raider, THEN served two tours in VN, he enlisted when he was 12-13 yrs old??

ref: On 14 April 1971, III MAF redeployed to Okinawa, and two months later the last ground troops, the 13,000 men of the 3d MAB, flew out from Da Nang. Although Marine combat units were no longer in Vietnam, Marine advisors remained to assist the South Vietnamese.

USMC deactivated the Raider units in 1944 and restarted the unit in 2003, now called MARSOC

My opinion of Mr Phillips is solely based on his statements of being a Viet Nam Vet. The kerfuffle at the Lincoln Memorial only brought his claims to the surface.

PS: Not looking to start an FOIA on this guy. TAH is on his case

OUT-standing! I've brought this up in a couple of news outlet comments; glad TAH will get on this.

Sitting there with my coffee - and my current busted-ass age - and thought, "Huh? Seems a little young there skippy; hell, there were massive drawdowns going on & when I returned to EUR no one was getting levied." Maybe they meant "Vietnam-ERA veteran." But people like him, and make no mistake he's a professional provocateur, get mileage out of that shit.

He's been around for a loooong time. It would be good to get to the bottom of this. Actually, though, the last Marines left in '75. They were the Embassy Marines and those stationed on the ships offshore, so he has some wiggle room there.

Not as a "recon/Ranger"....I don't think you'll find that description for embassy guards anywhere.

The guy is a professional paid actor who has a history of stirring shit up.

Every news article containing his words wreaks of inconsistency and lies. No need to quote open sources “TNTL” the man is a walking-talking enigma. I wouldn’t believe anything he has to say.

On other news the SPLC got one right...the “racist” and extremists supremacist group ‘Black Hebrew Israelists’ are a recognized hate group!
