From this Military Times article I gather that Mattis is in no hurry to recruit transgenders into the services. As far as I am concerned they add nothing to the force and I could care less about their feelings.

Well all I can say is Wow, what the "F"....there is something seriously wrong with our government and society today. The next thing you know people will want to change themselves to become another "species". Amazing, just freaking idiotic, how is that going to work in the Military? Nice, we really want to see the Bearded She-Man naked and pregnant in the shower. How appetizing is that to the brain.

In defense of the military - this isn't their doing. The last administration told them to accept trannies and they are doing what they are told. Only the Marines had the balls to stand up to it and even they were told to STFU and color. Maybe this administration can revoke this travesty but it is the call of politicians - be they civilian or in military uniforms...they are still politicians.
I've read the entire package on integrating trannies into the force....it is about what you'd expect professionals to do when told to make it happen. No one is advocating for this - so far as I can tell. It is a tremendous waste of limited resources to a population prone to suicide and suffering from mental health maladies. We don't need that shit in the foxhole.
Maybe sanity will once again reign supreme but in the haste to churn out female Rangers; integrate females into BUDS; and "norm" GILBERTS into the force, I don't see any GO's/Flags tossing their stars on the table.

I still hold military leaders accountable for wherever this ends up. If one of us commits an atrocity, using the excuse that we were "ordered by higher" to carry out an act that we knew to be illegal, immoral, or unethical - the punishment would be swift.
We have been told by our leaders since the day we entered service that we are duty bound to speak truth to power when faced with such orders.
"Moral courage" is what my Drill Sergeant called it.
Unless someone has lied to me, CGSC Department of Command and Leadership (DCL) is supposed to develop officers that have the courage to speak “truth to power”
So... either someone is failing, or "we" have got it all wrong - self-identification is whatever you want to be and the courage to be who you want demands our respects.
one or the other -
either the universe is binary - light or dark, good or bad, right or wrong
or nothing matters
If nothing matters, why do we still take a piss test? Why cant we drink while deployed? Why cant we have dirty magazines while deployed?
...our choices are all respectable aren't they?
