A suburban Denver student shot at least one other student at a high school Friday before he apparently killed himself, authorities said.

Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said the shooter entered Arapahoe High School in Centennial armed with a shotgun looking for a teacher he identified by name.

"The teacher began to understand that he was being looked at and exited the school. One student confronted the armed student and was shot," Robinson said.

UPDATES from 6pm briefing:
- 2 students physically hurt, others suffered anxiety attacks
- 1 student remains in critical condition at Littleton Adventist Hospital
- 2 devices, being described as Molotov cocktails, were found inside the school. One had been detonated by the suspect. The 2nd was found by law enforcement and rendered safe.
- Preliminary investigation shows motive for shooting may have stemmed from controversy or disagreement between the shooter and a teacher. Sheriff Grayson Robinson used the word "revenge."
- Arapahoe High School will be closed on Monday. Schedule beyond that has not been determined.

Many students also said that the shooter was bullied and teased by other students. Shooter also brought pictures of his shotgun and other weapons to school to show off.

Holding my breath for the toxicology report on what, if any, ADHD drugs the student was taking.

Seems that with as many kids are on ADHD drugs these days at least some would have been on them.

Has anybody here heard anything on the subject?

I can't help but wonder how any of these fools could image any of these tactics without hearing about prior incidence from media accounts, and then again what would drive more folks to the media... Molotov cocktails...really

Thoughts and prayers to the victims, families, friends, students, and parents. What a shame.

Looks as if the Denver Pest scrubbed out the word 'socialist'.
Now the shooter is described by a fellow student as being "very opinionated."

No word yet on any medication. Some speculate a number of these shooters have been on medication.

UPDATES from 8:20pm briefing:
- 1 gun shot victim ONLY, 15yo girl in critical condition after undergoing surgery this afternoon. At this time, investigation does not indicate she was a target of the gunman.
- Another student was thought to be shot but was not. Student and EMT's thought she was shot because of blood on her from the shooting victim.
- Identity of the shooter has been released. xxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx, age 18. He was in school today; was not under suspension.
- Roads around school will open tonight around 9.
- Students can retrieve their cars and personal property from the west lot of the school at 8am tomorrow.
- Entire school is a crime scene and remains closed. A time for the school's opening for students to retrieve property will be announced tomorrow.

The late gunman, Karl Pierson, must have had some serious issues, not to mention fanatical political beliefs, if he was willing to execute the teacher that had him either demoted or kicked off the debate team. The debate team?!! Holy crap.
