Now how could this have happened? The Brits solved their gun problem with a few laws.

"LONDON (Reuters) - The daughter of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was held up at gunpoint during an attempted robbery as she was out walking in London, local media said on Thursday............"

This was only 1/2 mile from where our kids live. It's a rather trendy area and there is a big university near there.

The Brits are so paranoid about guns,, they could have use a water pistol, which I think is also banned?..

Impossible! All guns are banned, except for, of course police. Ask piers morgan, he'll back me up on this.

It is the craziest thing to me, but I don't think even all of their LE people are armed.

Most street LEO's do not carry waepons. BUT, the LEO's at "select" locations are dressed to the hilt, aka: SWAT kit.

We have walked around London a bunch in the last 5-6 years. If you go past Parliament and #10 Downing, you will see a small army max'd out for CQB. Two block away, they wear stab vests and carry whistles. And don't you dare get caught without your road vest..

A good friend's SiL is a constable in a rural area in Scotland. I not sure they even have the stab vests? I asked said copper about weapons training and he said they do have some "shooters" that do it annually, but it's a small portion of the force.
