Chris Matthews Sours on Obama
Obama's most devoted devotee sees the light for a brief moment:
http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/...ma-164095.html
President Obama "obviously likes giving speeches more than he does running the executive branch," Chris Matthews said tonight.
Yes, you read that right: The MSNBC host who in 2008 felt a "thrill going up my leg" after hearing Obama speak has grown disenchanted. Tonight's episode of Hardball saw Matthews delivering a rare, unforgiving grilling of the president as severe as anything that might appear on Fox News.
"What part of the presidency does Obama like? He doesn't like dealing with other politicians -- that means his own cabinet, that means members of the congress, either party. He doesn't particularly like the press.... He likes to write the speeches, likes to rewrite what Favreau and the others wrote for the first draft," Matthews said.
"So what part does he like? He likes going on the road, campaigning, visiting businesses like he does every couple days somewhere in Ohio or somewhere," Matthews continued. "But what part does he like? He doesn't like lobbying for the bills he cares about. He doesn't like selling to the press. He doesn't like giving orders or giving somebody the power to give orders. He doesn't seem to like being an executive.”

Matthews could turn on a dime at any second and find a thrill up both legs.

Chris Matthews can tell you what he doesn't like but anyone with half a brain can tell you what he does. He likes the free vacations for his family all over the world. He loves the lavish parties he gets to throw at the White House, or those thrown for him by big supporters, that draw dozens of sycophantic Hollywood celebs who bow down and tell him how wonderful he is. Until the past week he enjoyed a fawning media who love to describe him as the smartest man in whatever room he walks into. He enjoys using Air Force one to jet him around the country to play golf with his buddies while Federal employees are being furloughed. Finally he loves to vilify anyone who disagrees with him politically. There may be a couple that I missed.

He has no sense of, or respect for, the thing that is the Presidency and its overall impact. He would be completely lost without his crew.

Yeah, just as soon as the Benghazi thing is just a dull public memory.

Here is the REAL problem... Since the AP press scandal, the media lap dogs are pissed... I think it's pretty damn funny myself. The press couldn't get enough of Obama until this broke... Just sit back, and watch the fireworks now... Perhaps the MSM will start reporting more on Fast and Furious (not the movies...)
What the MSM is finding out is that this POTUS is going to do what is best for HIM and is in no way beholden (or be holder?) to them. It gives me great comfort.
During the writing and eventual passing of the 14thA, the press couldn't tout the 2ndA enough. Every Republican was fighting for the rights of Blacks, and every Democrat was fighting to keep blacks in chains with the "black laws" most southern states had at the time. Funny, in not a "haha" way that we now have a Black Democratic POTUS that is fighting FOR gun control with the help of the media... Seems things have gotten ass backwards since 1860s...

Not unique to the southern states at all. Many northern states had similar laws like Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. You just don't hear about them now because no one north of the Ohio River was ever a racist.....

I was in high school in MA when they desegrated the schools and started busing. Made the south look like pikers when it came to protesting the busing and desegragation. Hmmmm, that's right, MA was and still is a Dim strong hold. Go figure.

Either you had some lousy school libraries or even worse teachers when you learned about American history.

Do you read your own posts << LINK>>? (Just because you don't hear about something doesn't mean that others have not listened << LINK2>>.)

Every time you guys start arguing about race in the US, the same three words pop into my mind-
Our President's black.

Replace "Every" with most. My bad. "That every man be armed" is a good resource for info on the subject, especially where the 2ndA is concerned.
