How the U.S. Military Would Crush a Tea Party Rebellion
A right-wing militia inspired by the Tea Party movement has taken over the city of Darlington, South Carolina, arrested the local government, and declared that the federal government should be overthrown.

South Carolina, causing trouble again.
Although, if this does come to pass, which the way things are going very well could happen, I see this taking place further west of South Carolina .... Texas, Montana, Arizona.
Interesting times we live in now.

A novel is a work of fiction. Ms. Weber's study of northern Democrats during the American Civil War is a work of history, therefore, one would more properly categorize it as a work of non-fiction.
That is, unless one is going to take a postmodern approach to "texts."

It's a book....so there. ......
I have not read it, expressed and opinion, or passed judgement....just putting up the link if any one may be interested.
However, in a brief review of its description and the comments on the book, with her focus on the Southern Copperheads, it seems she completely ignores that much (not all) of the northern population was just as racist as the Southern and some northern states passed laws with the intention of keeping out the newly freed slaves?
