If the president's opponents decide to make an issue of the ring it will open the door for the president's supporters to make an issue of Romney's religion.

MOO, were either side to allow the contest to go in this direction, it would favor the incumbent--Democrats won't care while Republican evangelicals would have to confront some of the less than savory aspects of the history of Mormonism in America. The other beneficiaries would be the comedy writers and satirists who've already built summer homes thanks to the political asshattery of the past twelve years.

(While it may not please anyone who does not trust the president, everyone can rest assured that professional academic historians will have the last word on the forty third president of the United States. No one escapes the judgement of Klio.)

Your saying they haven't... pretty sure I read some things.

I don't recall Romney ever denying his religion though. Could swear there's some clips and comments out there of O denying he's ever been anything but Christian.

JFK didn't deny he was a Catholic either but I believe there had been talk and controversy during his campaign over it.

Just something else to add to "the stack of stuff" that we know about BHO.
Nothing will change the minds of those that believe on him.
Almost as if he is a leader of a cult, instead of the POTUS.

A ring isn’t necessary to show Obama’s loyalty & affinity towards Islam and Arabs, and how he bends over backwards for Islam.

His policy does that…, as well as his associates…,who needs a friggin ring for proof..

Do I believe anything Obama says....nope.
I've read his fictional bios's and I believe at some time in the future the 'hoax' that is Obama will be exposed......am not holding my breath as people hate to be shown to be fools.

The close-in pictures really just look like loops. I think you'd really have to be grasping at straws to find the shahadah in something like that.
