Arizonans: Flake vs Carmona???

I'm wondering where people stand in this race. Perpetual politician who's overstayed his self-imposed stay in D.C. by several years vs a decorated former SF medic / Surgeon General. (Do I give myself away?)

Easy vote. Plus I like Dr Carmona. Chatted with him for quite a while when he came up to Flag for July 4th parade. Back then he was still kind of on the fence about running.

He'll be back up here next weekend. I'll see if he has changed much.

Plus I owe him a beer. He coin checked me and.....

I don't like this: Clinton in Tempe Wednesday to campaign for Carmona

It would be hard for me to help put another D in the Senate.

While I don't really want another D in the Senate, I also do not like Jeff Flake... at all! I actively worked on the campaign of a challenger in the 2004 Republican primary. Flake ran a very negative campaign, misrepresenting the position of his opponent (my candidate) in regard to 'securing the border' - even though he'd known the man for decades, and knew his position wasn't 'anti-immigrant'.

I don't believe Carmona will be a slamdunk Obama supporter - if Obama is re-elected, or an automatic opponent of Romney, if he wins.

Besides, my main political strategy these days is: if they're IN, vote 'em OUT. Two or three election cycles of this just might change things. Nothing else seems to do it.

We'll see...

Flake.....liking Carmona has nothing to do with it...he'd a liberal Dem, will vote for and with Pelosi on issues and that means he supports a form of socialism.

Concur.

There are quite a few "likeable" Dims, that doesn't mean they won't toe the party line when it comes down to it and the pressure is on.

That is what happened on health care legislation. One or two more Senators in opposition would have changed the outcome. I don't think we can afford the risk of putting another Dim in office, regardless of his history and likeability.

Just my .02, YMMV.

I agree. Anyone that would stand with pelosi, harry reid etc will never get my vote, Special Forces qualified or not.

Socialism does not work and Europe is proving that "theory" as we speak.
