Bushy Tails in the rain

Hit the back 40 this afternoon with my son to chase some "Tree Rats". After the rains it makes it easy to do some easy stalking thru the woods.

Here the results..5 bushy tailsin about an hours time frame.

Unless its raining hard we are headed back in the morning about 9 and mosey around. The squirrels were all over the place and didn't go much more than 100 yard into the woods

Nice,

Two questions:

1) How did you catch them with those fishing poles?

2) How are you going to serve them?

Talking

I will most likely boil some up till it starts coming off the bone and then add some rice to the pot.. Some others will be fried golden brown and put back into some gravy and simmered and put on a bed of rice and maybe talk the little woman to fix me some homemade biscuits.....yum yum...

There is about 15 rods hanging over our heads and another dozen in the back corner. Those in the corner we are getting em greased and reoiled for another fishing trip this Sunday to Sea View Fishing Pier on North Topsail Beach. Going to the Veterans Fish Fest 2010.

Hit the woods this morning about 9 and continued with the stalk. We picked up 10 and seen plenty we just couldn't get a shot at.

That's quite a few squirrels for one morning of hunting.

You were using shotguns?

10-4 Bob....still lots of leaves on the trees and a few houses here and there so we use shotguns. Once the leaves fall off where you can see then the .22's come into play a little easier.
