William G. Hillar Has never been a member of the US Army Special Forces.

COL in Special Forces, only in his dreams. Thats quite a client list Bill! I wonder if any are going to bring FRAUD charges against you?

Another Special Forces Fraud bagged and tagged. If anyone would like to write some of Bill's clients and inform them of his fraud feel free. I have Bill's "Reserve Coast Guard Radarman" records.

I also have in my possession a FREEDOM of INFORMATION ACT (FOIA) from the UNITED STATES ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (USASOC) STATING USASOC HAS NO, NONE, ZERO RECORD OF WILLIAM G HILLAR.

If you do an internet search you'll find the movie "Taken" was supposed to be about him......

I can understand hollywood being duped by a fraud but look at that list of Law Enforcement agencies.......

I don't get why LE agencies and Govt. agencies wouldn't vet the credentials of anyone offering training to their agents under the auspices of SOF service...

I don't understand, is there such a need for instructors out there that simply having a phony resume and a "school" or website will get you in?

How can people like this even keep all of the lying they surely have to do straight?

If you contact those agencies, I will be willing to bet none of them has heard of the guy. Chances are he did like so many others and just put them there to try and impress people. I see a bunch of so called "trainers" pulling that crap these days.

I did, the FBI took it quite seriously and already replied......

I'm betting the FBI really hates to be the victim of a scam artist.

Even worse, their being scammed made public.......

I just found a blog run by Sam Berg. She mentioned Hillar in an article she published in The Portland Alliance, February 2010

I couldn't find anything for her in the SSDI death records database. It's pretty up-to-date and thorough in my experience.

Zabasearch and Intelius return nothing for "Sale Hillar". Plenty of "Sally Hillar", but nobody with relative records tied to a "Bill Hillar" or "William Hillar".

(I've redacted the previous contents out of respect for his daughter). I've located his real daughter and have most of her details, I have PM'd TS with her info.

A quick search only shows five links, all referencing the award. Nothing with a story about her. In the weeks that we have been scouring the internet, why is this the first time the name "Sale Hillar" has ever popped up? After reading the story, a search of "Sale Hillar Cambodia" reveals the same links, just blogs which repeat the same information.

Hillar & Hedinger Freedom Fund......I wonder what that is, what it does and where it gets funding. The Hillar and Hedinger Freedom Fund is associated with the University of Oregon Foundation but there is nothing mentioning HHFF on the UOF website.

In the little bit of searching I have done on Hillar, many of the result appear to be activist groups like Recycle Love Festival that use words like Transforming, Revolutionary and Collective. In a manner of speaking it reminds me of ACORN, MoveON.org front companies.
