Talking

Enjoyed the article.

Couldn't help but wonder if "patient Harris" would be yelling and cursing if he looked up and saw NDD standing there with the needle ! lol !

DAMN fine training! What is this 528th Support Battalion thingy? Who owns it? I do not know these people. Anything to do with the old SOSCs?

I don't like conscious patients. They make too much noise and wiggle around too much.

This Harris girl is a wimp.

I
The 528th belongs to SOSCOM which is a major subordinate command under USASOC. Primarily it exists to provide combat service support to SOF forces. My kid used to be the S4 for the 528th a couple of years ago.

Well it has gone thru some interesting twists from its inception. It was originally stood up by a LTC Mason, a piece of work himself, who convinced the powers to be that the organization was needed. At the time he was the G4 for SOCOM before it became USASOC back in 85 time frame. While his idea was good, his intentions were to make himself invaluable and become a BN Cdr for his own sake. Then it went thru several evolutions of just what it was going to be and what it was supposed to do. As is the case of all logistics organizations no one really notices as long as things are going well and everyone notices when it screws up. I never really had any direct dealing with it so I really cannot pass any judgement from my point of view and listening to my son it seemed to have the normal problems all units do complicated by the mix brought about with male and female interactions, sniveling, wanting to be special operations but not really being special operations, etc.
