Ray and Bubba
Just to even things out a little....
Ray & Bubba ( Arkansas mechanical engineers) were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up.
A woman walked by and asked what they were doing. 'We're supposed to find the height of the flagpole,' said Bubba, 'but we don't have a ladder.'
The woman took a wrench from her purse, loosened a few bolts, and laid the pole down. Then she took a tape measure from her pocket, took a measurement, announced, 'Eighteen feet, six inches,' and walked away.
Ray shook his head and laughed. 'Ain't that just like a woman! We ask for the height and she gives us the length!'

Yep.
That is the first thing I expect from a woman.
A wrench in her purse, mechanical expertise, and an 18'+ tape measure in her pocket.
I know my bride has those things on her when she goes out of the house.

I've got news for you TR,it wouldn't surprise me a bit if that woman they mentioned isn't our very own "armymom" just passing through..............

Mornin' Teddy darlin'! No tape measure this week, but I do have afolding buckknife , a spoon and one of those small ratchet scewdrivers that has bits in the handholder part.
My purse, is the shade of Army green fatiques from the 70's and is a miniruck. I do mean mini, but it is perfect for carrying stuff. Got all the usual feminine stuff, two wallets and my passport. One never knowns when one will need to make a run for the border. Tape measure is next week when I have to go buy a 30 inch wide stove for the dtr's new house. I offered to creatively redo her kitchen alcove with a chain saw. She was not amused and declined. Oh well, I did offer.
Bubba and freind being the courtly southern gentlemen I know them to be, helped the lady to get the pole down and put it back up for her.
We women do have long memories. How else can we remember all that silly stuff that made us laugh so hard that you guys do. Life would be immensely boring without ya'll around. Not to mention, its the gentlemen who stop by my flat tire car on the side of the road to change my tire for me.. or at least give me some supervision while I do it myself.

Only thing missing is WD40 and a spray can of idiot repellant. Heading to the store now.

I can see that happening. I carry a Swiss Army knife and a tape measure in my purse.

Of course it all depends on the subject matter, but it's our job.
Where do you guys think you'd be without women to keep things straight?

Just be happy you all aren't on the planet by yourselves. Admit it, it's nice to have women around.

Teddy, been married for almost 40 years to the same woman. I have seen all the good and the mean. I have taken some shots and given some shots.
But I have learned that they can smell fear, never let them see you sweat.
I still have not figured out why she has stayed with me so long. The guys at work call her a Saint.
Kimberly, my wife carries a tape in her purse as well.

that's weak, missus. Weak, I say. Try again
Btw, you keep this up and a certain member with the initial FS may come back from the other side.

Whaddaya know. You like the quote that much, eh?
