Interesting magazine, how many rounds does it hold?

All the Galil and Gali lderivitaves i have seen/used use an arced mag, similar to the AK47.

That appears to be the 7.62x51 version, and the long mag would be 25 round capacity.

What about this? I don't know one way or the other. Some have said that is the built in bottle opener. Others have said that it is not.

I thought it was the designer, Uziel Gal's last name.

Heavy, especially in 5.56, reliable, not particularly accurate, but definitely a very cool rifle.

Very reliable indeed. As you know, it's accuracy is affected adversly by the rear site mounted on the (shit, what is it in English?) top "slide"? thus moving ever so slightly to the left and right.

Have a good weekend

Since it's based on the AK series of weapons, it has their ability to fire when cruddy dirty. In fact, many of the IDF Galil's I saw in Tel Aviv demonstrated the soldier's confidence at being able to fire without a cleaning.
