Holy long range insertion, Batman

Sling a couple of Mavericks on this thing, and you'd be GTG.

Wile E Coyote

Dang!!

Anyone remember the roadrunner cartoon where Wile E Coyote had one of these things? No kidding, that is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the photo.

I think this was posted a few months ago. Still interesting. I wouldn't want to cache that damn wing.

"Weapons, ammunition, food, and water stow inside the wing....." I am just picturing this as you try to load your gear ... if one side is heavier than the other (picture dislodged sheetmetal roof in hurricane) I wonder what the stability is. But then again we all have perfectly symmetric weight in our rucksacks...

You mean the pre-op inspection didn't include ruck balancing as part of the briefback, and JMPI? the Horror!!

Hey, Chuck, whaddya think - the 60 ammo, batteries and chow on the right and the snivel gear on the left gonna work ok?

Jumpmaster must now calculate for spin drift.....egads!

F = 1/2 p V2 A Cl

F = lift force
ρ = density of the fluid
V = velocity of the ball
A = crossectional area of ball
Cl = lift coefficient

The lift coefficient is very dependent on the spin ratio ( (angular velocity*diameter)/(2* linear velocity) of the ball. Lift coefficient may be determined from graphs of experimental data using Reynolds number and spin ratio. Typical lift coefficients of a smooth ball range from 0.2 to 0.6 for spin ratios ranging from 0.5 to 4.5.

Then strap that on 12 guys and set them loose
