Your post has me thinking......
With the popularity of Bear Grylls(and in my opinion the far better Ray Mears in the UK, real knowledge and economy of effort without the silly/dangerous drama) and other shows, there's clearly an interest in some "man stuff", albeit while most are sitting warm, dry, well fed, and rested in their cocoon.
Those tough mudder type of events seem to be catching on with young folks, which is a good thing, but I wonder if the combination of the two could see a fun/education Man Camp type of organization take off.
Something like Boy Scouts for adult males(like Sheepdog said, not men) who failed and need remedial Man Training.
There's a big enough market for it, that's for sure.
The only problem I see for it catching on is that you'd probably have to call Remedial Male Recovery something like Advanced Macho-ness Challenge.
And Basic 101 Man Training would have to be called something like Extreme Wild Stallion Gauntlet.
Otherwise, no one would sign up....because most male egos seem to rely on quite considerable "movie skillsets".
That's why I enjoy instructing females on the range. While I don't like the idea of women in a rifle section on operations, in my anecdotal experience they do accept performance feedback on the range without preconception and/or ego.
Has anyone ever seen this US outfit called TechShop?

Supercool I reckon...the kind of stuff that will plant the seed of million and billion dollar ideas in the future once the US shifts towards a positive direction.
A for-profit business that is booming that teaches you how to do cool stuff.
I reckon there's scope for a scalable Man Camp for-profit type business, obviously using some marketing and advertising magic and calling it Wolf Pack Danger Club.
All you'd need is one QP per region supervising part time employee Boy Scouts doing all the remedial instructing.
I'm sure a QP could develop a 2 year training pathway for a male to get his Man Card...for only $99 a month plus value added Danger Package upgrades.
What could be better than turning a healthy profit while de-hipsterizing 'Merica?
