don't forget the shoe discussion well, it's been a rough winter and it might be spring fever.

You haven't SEEN the Green Berets? How the hell did you get in here?

To be truthful, there are a lot of movies I haven't seen [I know quite a few folks who are appalled that I won't watch any of the American Pie movies], this is just one I wasn't aware of [sadly John Wayne was not part of my childhood, I apologize].

UPDATE: I've ordered myself a copy and it should be here in three to four weeks.

Difficult to get past the EOD guys saving an SAS patrol - my wife almost filed for divorce when I was hanging on the ceiling fan and screaming over that segment - but an OK movie overall - sure didn't see what led to the OSCAR accolades, though.

And so it goes...

(We have failed in creating a "Special Forces" website, I must now go and commit sepaku with a dull short sword, maybe a spoon. Team Sergeant)
What? I just got back from my pedicure. What did I miss?

Had to be one of the worst displays of an SAS team ever. I turned it off after that and decided I would rather clean my kit and do some studying.

I am only bumping this as I find this post when reading through this thread. If anyone has found 84 Charlie MoPic on DVD, I'd like to know. It seems only foreign releases are on DVD and the US version is still only VHS. I got rid of the VHS player years ago and would like to see this movie.

Thanks,

Old school EOD

I am old school EOD from the era before robots and bomb suits.
My gal was yelling at me from the other room "If it's so bad why not turn it off?" when I was exclaiming loudly about what BS the Hurt Locker offered up for your viewing pleasure.
I am thankful that the movie was so bad that it didn't spawn a bunch of wannabes wearing the Charles County Crab on their Green Beret right next to their trident.

I'd love to see the faces of any SAS guys who saw it.

Agreed. The end credits list the characters as "contractors."
