This SAW mag is one i got when there was a "high capacity" scare. I thought that I might be able to sell it for a profit or at the very least keep it to play with
This thing is a blast! I have read several third party reviews and most say they have better reliability than the beta-c mags but I can't say from personal experience.

Stainless Coonan .357 Magnum, model B. It's always been very accurate and jam-free. Unusually loud, though.

I like it!
I'd prolly slap a Hogue or Pachmayr grip on it, though...

Wet Dog,
I have a kimber conversion and shoot it pretty often with a springfield armory grip frame. The slide is aluminum, don't know if that makes a difference to you. It of course makes the gun run differently, slide being real light and all. I don't mind on a fun/hunting pistol.
I've ran several thousand rounds through it. Never had a single malfunction with jacketed ammo. After a couple hundred rounds of hard cast lead bullets, it will gob up. Not that big a deal, just a pain to clean out. I hear this is normal for any .22 conversion kit. Accuracy is top notch. Wouldn't trade mine. Hope that helps.

If you don't mind my asking, where did you find that upper? I was under the impression that they weren't selling the OBR/OBR lite uppers separately.
Nice looking setup regardless.
Good times,
Blake

You are correct, I found an individual selling his he had bought his buddy's 18 inch, so he had to dump his 16 inch OBR Lite.

I was going over my SNs to make sure I had them all correct and figured I'd bring every one together for a group photo.

No, the Coonan isn't ported (it's loud enough as-is). I've found it to be reasonably controllable. It might take a little getting used to at first, though, since the grip is wider than a typical .45 or 9mm due to the length of the .357 cartridge.
I've heard you can shoot .38 special in it by replacing the spring, but that would take the fun out of it for me.

assuming that's an LT104 mount, how's the RISR? Does it provide enough elevation for a solid cheekweld, as opposed to chinweld?
The scope is co-witnessed with a non-folding iron sight

Yes the LT104 works good with getting good eye relief in use wit the RISR. I have Dueck Defense offset iron sights, My Aimpoint micro will not work since the Windage turrets stick out and blocks the FOV on the micro. Off set irons will do just fine on closer in targets although not as sexy as a Aimpoint micro offset.
