JJ,
Where the heck do you shoot those things down in the Conch Republic? When I was there at the school there was nowhere except a 25-m range on Boca Chica...

Hasn't changed,,
If I want range time, I need to go North to visit the in-laws & out-laws.
Hopefully, In the next yr or so we will be moving to mid-state and I may be lucky and get 10 acres, plus a pond filled with bass..

Key West range time.
You could take a boat out past sand key and float some Bollons at different ranges. Who'd know..Blitzzz

A friend suggested we go off shore to international waters, Not exactly a sniper range with "fixed" targets.. but It's about all we have.
We think... You see, you need to get to International Water from inside the Sanctuary...
After the Keys were designated as a "National Marine Sanctuary", The North American Saltwater Crocodile, Key Deer, Marsh Rabbit, Rice Rat, Great White Heron, and some )&^)& Butter Fly were put on the endangered list.. We are pretty much F'd. These overlapping endangered species habitats cover from the Florida Bay out to beyond the reefs.
Tell you how much pull the tree-hungers have..
About 5 yrs ago My neighbor was swimming in our canal with his 6yo kid. He spotted a 5ft Croc, called Fish & Game to get a nuisance removal trapper..
Fish & Game proposed posting NO SWIMMING SIGNS, with $500 fines for disturbing protected species habitat...
Never heard what happened to the croc, but we don't have any signs...

My Daniel Defense DDXV with custom laser etching our unit got (on reverse not pictured). The EoTech 512 it is wearing was a promotion gift to myself and a recent addition. Unfortunately there is not room for my BUIS on the rail.
The 1911 is a Taurus PT1911 Homeland Defender edition with the Crimson Trace grips. Excellent value and my EDC.

Try using an ARMS 40L. It'll fit just fine.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

My newest creation... Retro 177ish clone:
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o134/grog18b/022.jpg
American Spirit Arms lower
Retro Aluminum two position collapsible stock
177 moderator replica made by Pat Medders (AR15.com)
Upper is an A2
Barrel is a 5.56 heavy barrel, cut at 12 1/2" and lathed especially for the 203 barrel band to fit.
Handguard barrel nut assembly is a early straight Colt.
Pistol grip is early Colt.
M203 is a 40mm Shivak, with a 9" Colt barrel.
Handguard is a early model shortie with leaf sight attached.
OAL with stock closed is 30 5/8"
OAL with stock extended is 33 3/4"
Moderator is 4 1/2" long
Here is a close up of the front end:

Here's the other side:

I still have to decide what camo pattern to use. Either tiger stripe or a simple green/black pattern. Once I decide and get her war paint on, I'll post more photos. Took her out to the range today, and she runs fantastic, and I think it's actually more accurate now.
Munitions in top photo are, clockwise from top L:
White, Green, and Red para flares
White Star Cluster, CS Gas, and two M576 buckshot
M407 Practice, M397 Bounding HR replica, M381 HE Replica, M433 Replica, and another M381 Replica,
Red, Green, and Yellow Ground Smoke Markers.
All rounds are live and real except for HE replicas.
Retirement is grand...

Nice guns Hoepoe!!
I'm waiting for the paperwork for my Micro galil to come through.
Can you tell me what's the meaning of the yellow markings? They are similar to the ones on yours.

Comp-Tac MTAC slide version. It's comfortable, but I'm a bit leery of the plastic clips.

Almost an exact clone of Crossbreed's design......
I've been wearing a crossbreed IWB daily for over 2 years and it is extremely comfortable.... even with the spare tire around the waist....

I have one of those for my Kahr P9 (and alternate carry with Comp-Tac's appendix holster). I've had it for about a year, no issues or concerns so far with the plastic belt loops...
