I'm going to chrony more.

The last few I chronied were High 14s so I will chrony a few more of the same load before I make any changes. I need to shoot a zero with them and check against the vernier scale on the sight to see how close ther are at different ranges. to my previous loads. With the heavy bullets ...I don't know ..I cast my own and am happy with the 535s. Th only reason I only shot 788 yds, id that's the longest target on the ramge. A thousand shouldn't be that much more difficult.
Still working this out. I'll get it.

Factory trigger is crappy but rifle recoils easy and is accurate.

My .45

Wow you gents have some nice weapons. I am jealous.

This is my baby. It's a first generation Colt CCO. I have a nice Remington 700 VS in .308 that is pretty nice too, but I don't have a photo of it.

You guys have me wanting an AR15 now! Must have...

yeah, it's all legal. I short barrelled it after getting the stamp from the ATF. After I got the approval I sent everything off to Ed at http://www.hdps.org/ He did an outstanding job fitting everything together.

Here are some pictures of my two favorite weapons, both of which mean very much to me.

First is the M1911 which was given to be by a great friend who has since passed; He served as a Navy Sea Bee during WWII. The gun saw action (which I learned at his memorial service) in Normandy, where the Higgins boat he was driving was hit by a German 88 shell, leaving him the only survivor, which he was then forced to link up with the Infantry to storm the beach. He carried the trusty 1911 to the pacific theater, until the war ended..

Secondly, is my new purchase; A CMP Special Grade Garand. My great uncle and my grandfather both carried Garands with them while they served in the Army during the Korean War era, and a little beyond. My grandfather was part of the USAMU and shot with the Garand; and was very excited that I bought the rifle, I am too.

gits,
played with my friend's before he traded it for ACOG and something else. I think it comes standard, I'm not sure, but the muzzle break (?) vents on the top really minimized the recoil muzzle lift.

If you ever get to test its accuracy at 100yds or much longer distance, please post a report. I never get to find out.

I see a lot of them being traded or sold for something else.

What does that tell you?
