Not my favorite purchase, but one of the very limited choices I have for personal weapons I can carry now. I'm not a Glock fan, but for backups it was either this (G27) or the G26. At least I can use my duty weapon mags in this if it ever comes to that.

Nothing exotic here...but they're mine and they work for me.

Ok, earlier this year my agency started transitioning to the SIG P229R DAK chambered in .357 SIG. I have heard some people do not like the DAK action because it's such a long trigger press. I'm a firearms instructor for the organization and I have shot well over 5000 rounds through mine and since I have shot mine so much, the action has kind of grown on me. So trying to stay with the same kind of trigger system I sold all my Glocks and purchased an array of SIGS with the DAK action.

From left to right: P239 DAK in 9mm, P229R DAK in .357 SIG (Duty Weapon), P226R DAK in 9mm and a P220R DAK. I do see a P226R DAK in .357 SIG in the future.

Just out of curiosity are you able to cover the business end of your scope? I also have Sendero 7 mag with a 6.5-20x50 Simmons Aetec but there is not enough room between the barrel and scope to fit any of the covers I have found. As a matter of fact there is maybe enough room to fit 3 playing cards between them and the gunsmith said that is the tallest mount he has. I know the Simmons are not known as quality scopes but this one has served me well with the exception of the accumulation of dirt everytime I hunt with it.

I don't have anything in my collection that would impress anyone here but I do have an unusual rifle I inherited from my grandfather. Its a bolt action Stevens 30-30 with a clip he bought at a pawn shop in Fort Campbell for $7.50 ages ago on a whim he might try deer hunting.

I recently picked up some AR lowers. The first is an Armalite/Eagle with RRA lower parts kit. Replaced grip and trigger guard with Ergo SureGrip and Magpul. Received in trade a lightly-used Colt flattop upper, 20 inch 1/7 HBAR, then purchased a used carrying handle and A2 stock kit at a gunshow. Slapped everything together to make a frankenrifle.

The second is a POF forged lower I bought at a gunshow, and assembled using a Stag LPK. The Magpul MIAD and LMT M4 stock came off my Defender 2000 lower. I would like to eventually register this as an SBR, as soon as I have time to research setting up a trust.

Think I posted the new M4, kept it solid Flat OD Green. Came out good. here is a new upper from olympic arms. Anyone tell be about the Muzzle break on it? Better yet what is the best going Muzzle Breaks out there. I would like one that reduces the muzzle rise when firing. It's threaded so I can easily change it.

kgoerz I have a muzzle brake made by MSTN. The way it is designed it is suppose to reduce the noise associated with muzzle brakes. Wes Grant is great to deal with.

Here is a link for the muzzle brake. MSTN Muzzle Brake

A Christmas wish for all.

"A Red Ryder 200-shot carbine-action model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time."

--Ralphie A Christmas Story

I hope Santa is generous to everyone this Christmas, and remember: "Don't shoot your eye out!"
