Army officer and socialist candidate doing strip show

I think at one time in the, not too distant past O3's doing strip shows was frowned upon?

Now, I guess, not so much..

Quote:
Former US Army officer and socialist candidate looking to replace Republican Rep Nicole Malliotakis in NY State House emerges in 2019 video stripping down at ANTI-WAR burlesque show in Brooklyn

A video emerged Saturday of former US Army captain Brittany DeBarros stripping down at a 2019 anti-war burlesque show in Brooklyn
DeBarros is currently running as a socialist against incumbent NY State Rep Nicole Malliotakis, from Staten Island, in New York's 11th District
The retired Army captain and Afghan war veteran began her routine in a camouflage uniform before removing it to show nothing but red lingerie
DeBarros eventually went topless in the December 2019 performance, wearing pasties
She was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 and eventually became a vocal critic of the war
At the time of the burlesque show, DeBarros had tweeted that she was nearly court-martialed for 'posting facts' regarding the war while she was still enlisted
The Staten Island native has already raised $350,000 since announcing her candidacy in January; much of it has come from donors out of state

Before somebody get's in big trouble here some of these comments could be construed as fat shaming. Feelings could be hurt.

She’s in good shape. Round is still a shape. How much for her to keep her clothes on?

Reminds me of what you might find on Hay Street back in the day.

wow

but I don't blame her - I blame the US Army for creating her and then building a platform to empower misfits like her

The Army has been weaponizing misfits for at least a generation. She is a "combat vet" that has gleefully and zealously adorned herself in the mantle of victimhood.

Every leader and senior NCO that impacted her career - or failed to impact her career shares responsibility. Just like the goons that graduated that Spinster Repowned guy from wEstP0inT - leaders are to blame for this kind of silliness.

...but old school Hay street? No way. More like what you'd see in the parking lot at the Fire Fly 15 minutes after last call.

Ricks lounge had standards to uphold.

That looked more like a barracks troll, The kind that would show up on base around payday or call the CQ desk looking for pvt snuffy.

This kind of silly shit shines a light on a few undeniable truths:

1) The 'good guys' don't always win.
2) Incompetency and indecency aren't always held accountable.
3) Not all "heroes" are heroic.
4) Opinions vary.

Bet one of them was my brother in law, He claimed PTSD from going to the chow hall and hearing gunfire outside the wire.
