Erwin, I'm sure the heads up is appreciated. There are folks here who like to keep up with cases like these and address them when possible. There is a previous thread, though, dealing with these incidents. You may want to put these posts there in the future so as not to draw fire from the powers that be. It helps keep things organized. Just FYI.

I see it is listed as "sold." Was someone able to get it removed; or, did it actually sell for $899.99?

I'm not sentimental in the least when it comes to objects, but even then I can't understand why a QP would sell his Yarborough.

When that happens their Special Forces Tab is revoked and they are no longer in the regiment. In retaliation they sell their knife. Since this site has been online I think we've seen three maybe four knives for sale. We purchased one or two and sold them to a real SF soldier.

looks like the sale was ended. From the other items listed looks like possibly someone's ex-wife.

They say it is from 2003-2004

Can the Ft Bragg store confirm the date, maybe the owner?

		| This is a Chris Reeve Bill Harsey authentic serial numbered Yarborough knife. This particular knife is #0720 and from research believed to be from 2003-2004. This is not the civilian model "Green Beret knife". A authentic serial numbered Yarborough knife is only given to Special Forces Graduates of the Qualification course. The Yarborough is only issued once in a lifetime and is irreplaceable unless there are unusual circumstances and then appropriate paperwork must be filed and approved. This knife does not come up on the used market very often. This knife is used and does not appear to be sharpened. It does have one very tiny nick on the blade toward the tip. Please see picture. There is no other damage to the knife. | |
