Luke AFB BX, guns and ammo for sale

Holy shitte!

So I get a new ID card today and stop at the BX, and see guns for sale! I had no idea our PC sensitive Air Force started selling guns at the BX! I asked when did this start and the ladies said 3 years ago?

Pretty cool!

Yup, and I do believe they will order if not on hand...I never checked the prices actually but stop by now and again. Nice display.

They've been doing it at MacDill for several years now. I freaked me out too.

Same same at the PX on the Ft. Lewis side of JBLM. Not sure about the McChord side. Considering the roughly 9% sales tax on the economy, even if the prices are the same you save.

I haven't purchased a gun on post yet, but I would be very surprised if the purchase did not come with mandatory PMO registration. Has that been a requirement at other installations?

McChord has been selling as long as Lewis PX. And then there is the Sportsman's Store (formerly the Rod and Bottle on N. Fort) the sportsman's club will also act as FFL for shipments and do the paperwork. Pretty reasonable. I think I saved taxes on some accessories and the prices were good.

Ft. Lewis PX has more accessories and a whole section of 511 stuff.

Ah, the Rod & Bottle. Some good times there back in the day. They used to sell guns in the Northwest Adventure Center, which replaced the Rod & Bottle for outdoor rec some time ago. Sounds like the old place took the gun business back. Is there still a bar there?

Installation commanders have final say, but most USAF installations currently let you transport the weapon from the PX directly off base without a need to register it. If you live on-base, the base rules on registration apply.

Rules at FBNC

Same rules at FBNC for retirees (no requirement to register with PMO if transporting directly off post, I've bought several handguns in the last year), but I believe Active Duty still has to register.//

No bar just kayaks, fishing, SCUBA gear and gun stuff, as well as trip info. Yes, my mistake it is the Northwest Adventure Center not Sportsman's Club.

Also my mistake it's not the old Rod and Gun Club that was an old building past the NCBro club. I think the building is gone now. Yes good times over there.

This gives me hope, hope that the female AAFES mafia can be beat.

As a single military guy in the 70'80' & 90's I was pissed when the female AAFES mafia removed the hunting and fishing stuff from all the PX's BX's ......
