Taiwan Formosa Water Park fire injures hundreds

Over 200 hurt, 83 serious.

There is a vid clip on cnn site.

Looks like a mist dispersion explosion.

It's hard to see, at 1st it looks like a CO2 cloud, but the flames seem to be coming from the ground up, like it was a heavy gas??

Judging from latest reports, this ass-hat mode of partying has been going on for some time at venues in that region... employing dyed powdered corn (likely cornstarch) to create pretty "colored smoke" clouds. Everyone plays in the midst of multicolored clouds, gets tagged by the dyed powder, and jams to the festival music. Around various electrical sources, stage lighting, open flames, lit cigarettes, flammable fuel sources, etc. ... all co-located in a crowd of revelers.

400+ casualties later, perhaps someone will be held accountable for having set up a massive dust initiator charge.

The same thing that periodically levels grain silos or factories handling massive quantities of dust residue. The kind of thing that detonates coal mines. A known & common industrial hazard requiring strict adherence to OSHA type safety regulations.

Stupider than smoking at a gas pump. Dumber than playing through 18 holes during an electrical storm. About as bright as playing Russian Roulette.

Sadly, I think this one was just a Darwin award. Not terrorism.
